Meet Leah Llach, Host and Creator of True Crime Culinary
Hi, I'm Leah!
I'm the creator and host of True Crime Culinary, a podcast born from two of my favorite things: true crime and random food facts.
I'm also a survivor of an eating disorder, and for a long time, food wasn't exactly my friend. Part of rebuilding that relationship meant finding new ways to think about food—not as something to fear or control, but as something to understand, appreciate, and genuinely enjoy.
For me, curiosity became part of that process.
I started asking questions. Where did this food come from? Why do we eat it? Who thought to make it in the first place? And why are there so many strange, sometimes criminal, stories connected to the things we eat?
One question led to another, and eventually, True Crime Culinary was born.
Now, every week, I get to follow those rabbit holes, learn something unexpected, and share it with anyone else who enjoys a good story. Making these episodes scratches that endless itch of curiosity, and I hope listening to them does the same for you.
Because food is so much more than what we eat. It's history, culture, invention, human behavior, and occasionally, a really good crime story.
Thanks for being here. I hope you leave every episode knowing something you didn't before.
